Ascent into heaven is a composition Audun wrote during a workshop via ASCAP/BMI at NYU. It was written and orchestrated in only a few days and was recorded with an orchestra in the Czech Republic in a remote session.
Audun wanted to create a classic Hollywood cue, beginning sad, and ending in happiness.
With a twist in the middle.
It was written for a scene from «Bruce Almighty», and the form is shaped from this scene.
This is a composition based on a theme Audun wrote when he was 18. The goal of this composition was to make something similar to music used in old JRPG games. Audun wanted to create a sense of mystery and adventure, scary, but engaging.
It is currently not used for anything and is available for use through an agreement.
Killebukken is a song written for a documentary about a dark side of the wool industry, and how in certain regions of the world the sheep are being treated quite horribly for the benefit of the quality of wool. The song itself is meant to remind of the Norwegian National Romantic music for the 19th century, based on the poem of (navn) and Norwegian folk music.
It tells the opposite story of what is being shown, as a strong contrast to the horrible images of sheep being mistreated, evoking strong romantic emotions of how dear sheep are to us via a childish poem and the music.
This is a cue from a Russian made short film directed by the Russian/Armenian director Sereja Aratynyan. The short film is about a man, whose wife gets kidnapped, and the desperate attempt by the man to save her.
The cue is from the scene when the police discovers a body at the piers. We follow the main character as he is taken to the scene by the police to see if it is his wife, his growing fear and anxiety of wether or not it is her. The cue ends as the main character says, after being asked several times by the police: «Yes! It is her… It is my wife…»
